Data Sheet:

Cereblon (CRBN) is the substrate recognition component of DCX (DDB1-CUL4-X-box) E3 protein ligase complexes that mediates the ubiquitination of numerous target proteins including the transcriptional regulator MEIS2.  CRBN plays an important role in limb outgrowth, and its function in this process is perturbed by the binding of thalidomide and related compounds.  Binding of CRBN to cullin-4 is mediated by DNA damage-binding protein 1 (DDB1), a component of multiple DCX class ligases.  In addition to its role in limb development, DDB1 is also involved in various DNA damage response mechanisms. This product consists of untagged DDB1 (UniProt Q16531) and untagged CRBN (UniProt Q96SW2)
