A fluorogenic standard useful for quantitating assays monitoring 7-amino-4-trifluoromethylcoumarin (AFC) release such as those utilizing ubiquitin-AFC (U-551). The concentration of the AFC released can be calculated from a standard curve prepared with AFC standards.

Use & Storage

Use: 
Serial dilute in reaction buffer to form a standard curve within the range of sensitivity for specific plate reader.
Recommend dilution series starting at 500nM AFC
The excitation and emission wavelengths of AFC are A400nm and A505nm
respectively. 
Storage: 
Store at -20°C. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
