This buffer contains the optimal formulation for the general inhibition of enzyme activities that conjugate ubiquitin and ubiquitin-like (UBL) protein (SUMO, NEDD8, ISG15) to protein substrates. Useful during the preparation of crude lysate samples to enrich for protein conjugates or to quench in vitro assays. This agent will also quench the activities of cycsteine proteases.

Use & Storage

Use: 

Dilute to 1X in reaction to stop conjugation activity for final concentration of 0.5 mM in assay. 

Storage: 
Store at -20°C. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
