Antigen: 
Purified human recombinant ISG15 (18 kDa).
Rabbit polyclonal antibody for the detection of ISG15 and ISG15-protein conjugates. The ubiquitin-like ISG15 acts similar to ubiquitin and is conjugated to intracellular target proteins after IFN-α/β stimulation or microbial challenge. The functions or biochemical consequences ISG15 conjugation to proteins are not yet known, but it appears that this modification does not target proteins for proteasomal degradation.
Storage: 
Store unopened vial at -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Aliquot antibody in small volumes prior to freezing.
Specificity: 
Recommended dilution range for Western blot analysis is 1:500 to 1:1000. At a dilution of 1:1000, 100 ng of monomeric ISG15 can be detected. The antibody cross-reacts with human ubiquitin and Nedd8, but not Sumo proteins.</p>
