Protein production routinely requires expression in prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms. Our expression systems can be customized depending on the amount of optimization and scale you require. We can deliver required quantities of cell paste or conditioned medium, or continue with downstream processing and purification.
- Transformation of the expression vector into E.coli
- Screening and selection of positive clones
- Evaluation of expression by SDS-PAGE or Western blotting
- Optimization of host strain with small-scale analysis in different E.coli backgrounds
- Growth and expression optimization (by varying induction, temperature, cell density, time, antibiotic, media) to overcome low protein production and/or insoluble product synthesis
- Evaluation of soluble vs. insoluble protein production
- Inclusion body isolation and preparation
- Cell harvesting and lysate preparation

- Transfection of insect cells and generation of recombinant virus
- Viral production and plaque purification
- Test expression of recombinant virus clones
- Amplification and purification of recombinant baculovirus
- Viral titer determination and generation of high-titer virus stock
- Expression optimization in Sf9 or HiFive cells and varying temperature, MOI, growth conditions, media
